I can't say enough about how well our visit went today. Although it feels a little like information overload, I'm thrilled with the help that's available to Elena IF she needs it.
At this point, we'll be having bi-monthly visits with an amazing lady, Janet Soloduk, who is a consultant with OFVIC (Ontario Foundation for Visually Impaired Children) to determine exactly the best way to help Elena develop as any normal sighted child would.
By the time they left, I had a good feeling that we've been doing most things right and that it's only going to get better from here on. I'm feeling very relieved to have such support and someone to bounce my observations off who is working daily with kids similar to Elena.
I am so grateful!
